Go back in time at the historical Waratah's O'Connor Hall Guest House B&B which once served as Mount Bischoff Mine Managers Residence and today one of the most significant buildings in the community. The residence is fully listed by the Tasmanian Heritage Council for both its structural and its townscape associations being important to the community's sense of place.
We have four large deluxe queen bed ensuite rooms. Each room includes electric blankets, television, clocks, tea and coffee making facilities and fully licensed bar fridge and rooms are serviced daily and each room has reverse cycle air conditioning. Continental breakfast is included in tariff. A honey moon suite is also available for that special romantic getaway.
Waratah is one of the towns in the world with a waterfall in the centre of town, less than two minutes walk. There is trout fishing in the lakes surrounding the residence.

Waratah was constructed to support a tin mine at Mount Bischoff. The town is built at the top of a waterfall, and water was diverted from the stream to provide water for the mine.
