Lotusbird Lodge Cape York comprises 10 individual pole style cabins set amongst shady eucalypts along the inner bank of a large horseshoe shaped billabong.

Each cabin has its own private verandah overlooking the billabong and is very comfortably furnished with ensuite. The lodge can only accommodate a maximum of 20 guests at any given time, and is not open to the travelling public.

The restaurant and bar facilities are for lodge guests only, ensuring guests maximum enjoyment of the tranquility of this area. The local environment ranges from open eucalypt woodland and gallery forests to grassy plains, marshlands, creeks and lagoons, providing the ideal habitat for over 200 species of birds - wading, migratory and resident woodland and grassland birds including several species endemic to Cape York.

The property is also just 9 kilometres from Lakefield National Park and 22 kilometres from Princess Charlotte Bay. Lotusbird Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore either of these magnificent areas.
